Rates and Charges

Landing Fee: Any aircraft operator operating an aircraft with a published maximum gross landing weight of 12,500 pounds or greater will pay an Airport Landing Fee. That Airport Landing Fee will be $0.50 per 1,000 pounds of published gross landing weight. This fee will be waived for general aviation aircraft on the below schedule:

30,001 lbs to 45,000 lbs 200 gallons ($14.00 ff - $15.00 lf @ 30,000 lbs)
45,001 lbs to 60,000 lbs 300 gallons ($21.00 ff - $22.50 lf @ 45,000 lbs)
60,001 lbs and above 400 gallons ($28.00 ff - $30.00 lf @ 60,000lbs)

Fuel Flowage Fees: Any transaction of fuels (Jet A, AvGas - 100LL, unleaded auto fuel, diesel fuel, etc) pumped into an aircraft refueler, aircraft, ground support equipment, and/or approved fuel storage containers) are subject to an Airport Fuel Flowage Fees. That fee will be a one time $0.07 per gallon of fuel transferred.

Fuel Farm Fees: Any Airport Tenant meeting the standards to receive wholesale avfuels will pay a fuel farm fees as defined below.  This fee includes fuel farm mortgage, insurance and utility costs:

In-to-Plane Fee: Any Airport Tenant meeting the standards to receive wholesale avfuels will pay an In-to-plane fee on all fuels pumped from a refueler in to an aircraft. That fee will be a one time $0.xx per gallon of fuel transferred

Based Customer Avfuel Rate: Any aircraft owner/operator with an airport lease agreement and paying rates and charges outlines on these pages, may receive a $0.50 per gallon discount on avfuels pumped into the specific aircraft owned by the lessee.

Aircraft Ramp fees (Short Term): Any aircraft owner/operator operating an aircraft with a published maximum ramp weight of 12,500 pounds or greater will pay an airport parking / ramp fee for short-term parking. That Airport Parking Fee will be $0.50 per 1,000 pounds of published gross ramp weight. This fee will be waived for general aviation aircraft that purchase fuel.

Aircraft Parking fees (Long Term): Any aircraft owner/operator operating an aircraft with a published maximum ramp weight of 12,500 pounds or greater will pay an airport parking fee for over night parking. That daily Airport Ramp Fee will be $5.00 per 1,000 pounds of published gross ramp weight.

Aircraft Ramp / Parking fees (continued): Aircraft owner/operators operating an aircraft with a published maximum ramp weight of less than 12,500 pounds will pay $45.00 per month.

Facility Fees.Any aircraft owner/operator will pay an airport facility charge if the aircraft engines are shuts down. This fee will be waived for general aviation aircraft that purchase the below quantities of fuel: (note - this section added)

Light twin and single engine: $10.00 or 10 gallons fuel
Turbo prop and Jet: $25.00 or based on landing fee rates

Agricultural Operations: Any agricultural operator operating on a temporary basis at KHSA will pay a $500 per week Ramp Fee. This fee includes access to the ramp, parking for up to two (2) aircraft and parking for up to two (2) pieces of ground support equipment. Additional aircraft and ground support equipment will pay a $100 per week Airport Ramp Fee.

Ground Support:

Electrical power unit hookup: Aircraft owner/operators needing AC/DC power converters (Fox Cart) via the Airport Terminal Building will pay a $25.00 per ground power unit use for aircraft start up. The aircraft owner operator will pay $15.00 per hour for sustained usage.

Air start cart: Any Fixed Based Operator (FBO) or aircraft owner/operator needing access to a turbine air start unit will pay $35.00 per use of the air start unit plus refuel the unit with Jet A turbine fuel.

Passenger Boarding Stairs: Any aircraft owner/operator needing use of external passenger boarding stairs will pay a rate of $25.00 per use. Each use is defined as a per aircraft use with a four (4) hour maximum per use limit. Management reserves the right to simultaneously rent the passenger boarding stairs to multiple aircraft operators - coordinating the loading and unloading of passengers.

Lavatory Cart: Fixed Based Operators or aircraft owner/operator needing lavatory services will pay $45.00.

Aircraft Towing Fee: Any aircraft owner/operator needing their aircraft moved by airport personnel and equipment will be charged an aircraft towing fee.

Single/twin/Turbo Prop $20.00 one way
Jet $40.00 one way

Call-out Fees: Any aircraft owner/operator needing service outside the normal working hours will be charged a call-out fee based on the time period needed.

1700 to 1900 $50.00
1901 to 2100 $75.00
2101 to 0000 $100.00
0001 to 0500 $125.00
0501 to 0700 $75.00

Courtesy Vehicle: Any transient aircraft owner/operator, who has purchased fuel and need short term (less than one hour) use of ground transportation can use, if available, the airport courtesy vehicle.; Any use above one hour will result in an $50.00 per hour charge.

Security Services - Designated Ramp Observer (DRO): Aircraft owner/operators desiring specific aircraft security with security guard service will pay $20.00 per hour for that service.

Security Services - Law Enforcement Officer (LEO): Aircraft owner/operators desiring specific aircraft security with said personnel having arrest authority (Law Enforcement Officer) will pay $35 per hour for that service.

Para-jumping Drop Zone Fee: Private, commercial and military parachute/para-jumping operators will pay a $500 per week Drop Zone Fee for use of the Stennis International Airport Drop Zone.

Rental Rates - Long term with lease:
Terminal Office Space: $12.50 per square foot per year
Hangar Deck: $1.80 per square foot per year
Hangar Office: $3.50 per square foot per year
T-hangars:    
  Electric Bi-fold Doors: $375 (note up from $225)
  End Storage Units Small: $100  
  End Storage Units Large: $175 (note up from $ 75)
Ground Rent (For Hangar / Office Construction) $0.50 per square foot per year

Monthly Hangar Rental - per aircraft:

Single $ 400.00 per month
Light Twin $ 500.00 per month
Heavy Twin $ 650.00 per month
Turbo Prop (King Air/PC12) $ 1,200.00 per month
Small Jet  $1,500.00 per month
Medium Jet $2,000.00 per month
Large Jet (G-3,4,5/F-200)  $3,500.00 per month

Rental Rates - Short Term:  
Tie down - Single: $10.00* per night
Tie down - Light twin: $15.00* per night
Tie down - Heavy twin: $20.00* per night
Tie down - Turbo Prop: $35.00* per night
Tie down - Jet: $45.00* per night
* First night free with fuel purchase - note landing fee for aircraft above 12,500lbs
Hangar - Single: $30.00 per night
Hangar - light twin: $35.00 per night
Hangar - heavy twin: $50.00 per night
Hangar - Turbo Prop: $85.00 per night
Hangar - Jet: $100.00 per night

Through-the-fence Access Fees: Any off airport company (privately owned property adjoining the airport property but not owned and operated by the Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission) will enter into a Through-the-Fence Agreement and pay a fee of $0.25 per square foot per year on Hangar Deck and Office Space, or $0.05 per square foot per year on all property (ground) abutting airport property, or $6,000 per year - whichever number is greater. Through-the-fence Operators will also pay any other applicable airport rates and/or charges, Hancock County Port and Harbor Commission water and sewer charges and any other county charges as defined by law or ordinance.


** Published rates and charges are applicable in the absence of any other agreements. All rates and charges are subject to change within 30 days written notice. All rates and charges are subject to Economic Development factors. All rates and charges do not include insurances and/or taxes unless stated. Rates subject to change by Commission approval.
